Wednesday, October 9 **Senior students must have proof of meningitis vaccine and freshmen students must turn in a physical by October 15th. If you have questions about this, contact the nurse. This is a state requirement and you will not be able to attend school after October 15th unless this information is given to the nurse. **Attention Students- Student Council is hosting a blood drive on October 23rd during the school day. You must be 16 to donate. If you would like to make an appointment, contact Mr. Daniels or Mrs. Timmins. **Freshman mentor meetings are today during academic lab. Only senior mentors and freshmen should move during academic lab--everyone else stays in their 3rd hour. Room assignments for freshmen have been shared in Google Drive. **Students- Booster club is in need of volunteers at this week's events. Tomorrow--Volleyball home--6 pm Saturday--Cross Country--night run-- 6 pm If you are interested in volunteering please email Mrs Robinson. Seniors, you need 30 hours for graduation and if you finish all hours by November 1st you are eligible for an additional semester exemption. **For Mental Illness Awareness Week, KOEN Counseling and Wellness Center will have an informational table during lunch hours. We encourage students to visit their table for resources & have a better understanding of Mental Health Wellbeing. Remember, Mental Health Matters to ALL! **The student council is hosting a pumpkin painting party and contest after school on October 21st. If you would like to participate, please sign up in the attendance center. Participation is limited to 20 people, so sign up as soon as possible. Voting for the contest will take place on Halloween and the winners will receive prizes. **The Hartford Library is looking for volunteers to help with their Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 16th from 4:00-8:00. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the Attendance Center. **East Alton Middle School is looking to help move items on their campus this Friday, October 11th (there is no school that day) from 9 am-noon. If you are interested in volunteering please stop by the Attendance Center to sign up. Again this volunteer opportunity will involve some lifting/moving, etc. **The themes for this week’s home games are: Tomorrow--soccer and volleyball -maroon and gold **Students–The East Alton Methodist Church (across from Eastwood School/East Alton Middle School) will be having a campus clean up from 9 am until noon Saturday, Oct 19th. If interested in volunteering please sign up on the shared document. **There will be no school this Friday due to the Madison County Teacher Institute and no school next Monday for Columbus Day.
