**Students can purchase a fall athletic pass from the Attendance Center for $5. This pass will allow an EAWR student into all fall home games for $5 (football/volleyball) except for IHSA contests. All fall athletes and band members get into fall events for free.
**Anyone wishing to join Student Council needs to fill out the application that was emailed to you and submit by this Friday at the end of the day. Please make sure you fill out the application even if you were in student council last year.
**There will be a meeting at 2:15 today in the College and Career Center for seniors interested in running for Harvest Queen. Please keep in mind that candidates must be a senior and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher to be eligible to run. The meeting is mandatory, however, if you are in work-study or have another conflict please, contact Mrs. Robinson prior to the meeting.
**The theme for tomorrow night’s soccer and volleyball games is Hawaiian. Leis will be distributed to EAWR students at the games.
**Year long athletic passes are on sale. The pass will allow the holder to get in all home athletic events for the 2023-2024 school year (minus IHSA events). Passes are $30 for adults and $20 for non-EAWR children under 18. The year-long passes can be purchased at the first home volleyball game, the first home football game, or from the Attendance Center. **If you are a fall athlete or in the band and want to get into games for free, you need to have a picture of your ID on your phone and present it at the gate.
**The First Baptist Church of Wood River is looking for volunteers to help make blankets for the Community Hope Center. Please check your email from Mrs. Robinson for contact information.
Results from Tue: Boys soccer won with two goals from Bradley Garrison and a goal each by Malyk Spiller, Jordyn Spiller and Paul Nichols. Volleyball received pairings for bracket play. They play at 11 am Sat.
The boys golf match is cancelled today and will be in the simulator.
Spirit club sponsored a poster party tonight and 40 seniors attended. Great night and great event.

This event is for seniors only and it will be held in the east building courtyard from 6 to 8 PM. All seniors who participate will receive service hours and all seniors are invited. Mrs. Robinson will provide pizza for everyone that attends the event.

Oiler Soccer is back at it tonight in the Roxana Tournament and Volleyball will wait and see who they draw in the bracket round of the Roxana Tournament after going 2-1 last night.
Varsity volleyball wins in 2 over Granite City.
We have three cancellations to announce. First, New Athens has cancelled their cross country race this evening. Next, the boys golf match is cancelled and the boys will practice in our simulator until 4 pm. Finally, the girls tennis match is cancelled and no practice tonight.

Girls Tennis battled hard in their first match of the season. Singles winners were Maya Mugge and Kaylynn Buttry. Doubles winners were the duo of Hailey Handler/Kaylynn Butty and Maya Mugge/Hope Carter.
Good luck to our athletes today as they compete in the Madison County Meet at Belk Park (Boys Golf) and girls tennis at Alton High School. Let's go Oilers!

Parking pass selection is tomorrow, August 15th. Students are required to park in the Gym Lot and North Lot at no charge. Parking spots will be selected tomorrow in the Main Office. The times are as follows:
Seniors--7:30-9:30am
Juniors–9:30am-10:30am
Sophomores–10:30am-11am (only currently licensed driver’s)
If you can't come during your time, you may stop by the Main Office after your scheduled time.
The first day for all students is Wednesday, August 16th.
