Football began yesterday and will practice again tonight and tomorrow at 6 pm at the stadium. All other fall sports begin on Monday and the practice schedule for the week is included with this post.
Today, the police, fire, and other first responders will conduct tactical training on the EAWR campus throughout the day.
Community members may see emergency vehicles on campus and first responders moving in and out of district buildings. This is a planned training exercise—there is no cause for alarm.
The district’s Omnilert gun-detection system will remain operational throughout campus. However, Omnilert monitoring will be temporarily suspended during the exercise to prevent the staged training activity from generating emergency notifications. Monitoring will resume once the training is complete.
We appreciate the community’s understanding as our local first responders participate in this important training.

—EAWR is offering small group meetings for incoming freshman parents through our Parent Outreach Program.
