Oilers Baseball Camp wrapped up today for the younger age group. What a great week and a great group of kids!
Day two of Baseball Camp for students entering grades 3-6! OilerNation students who haven't been to this yet and would still like to may show up tomorrow morning at 10 am to join us. Norris Dorsey Field at Emerick Sports Complex on 6th St.

The weight room will be open for all athletes throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 pm. This is to help students reach their goals who perhaps have to miss a strength & conditioning session with their particular team in the summer. This gives students an additional time where they may come in to reach their goals. The weight room will be supervised by Coach Osborne of our football program and anyone from any team is invited. Our goal is to provide additional opportunities for students who may have jobs, summer school, etc. to get their workout in.
Students should come to door S3 on the side of Memorial Gym to enter the building.

Baseball Camp for students entering grades 3-6 is underway on a perfect weather day!
Any OilerNation parent who would like their child to attend may simply bring them to Emerick Sports Complex and sign them up there. Camp goes through Friday and begins at 10 am.
Next week, the camp shifts to students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.
Tonight was week one of the Wood River Summer League at the Wood River Rec. Center! 8 schools will descend upon Wood River each Monday in June. Oilers boys basketball had a thrilling overtime win over the Jersey Panthers in the 8 pm game.

East Alton-Wood River Community High School District #14 is accepting applications for three full-time Instructional Aide positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
These positions play an important role in supporting students, teachers, and the overall learning environment at EAWR. Candidates must possess, or be eligible for, a Paraprofessional License.

The Cahokia Conference is changing quite a bit next school year. The Oilers will be playing most of their sports in the Illinois Division but there are a few where we will remain in the Mississippi Division. Included with this post is a breakdown of the conference schools for each of our programs.
EAWR’s Riverbend Growth Association Young Adults Committee Representatives were recognized at the Chamber Choice Awards this afternoon—Eva Steiniger, Landon Bomkamp, Adyson Bunt, and Jace Burns. Also a huge thank you to John Barnerd for being our students mentor. Landon received a $500 scholarship, Adyson received a $750 scholarship and Jace received a $1,000 scholarship.
Our FREE Baseball Camp begins next week for students entering grades 3-6. The deadline has passed for a free t-shirt but we still welcome anyone who would like to attend. If having trouble with the QR code to register, simply bring your child on the first day of the camp and the coaches will get contact information on site.
