It is Homecoming Week at EAWR!
OilersLEAD met this morning at 7:30 in the CCC for a meaningful service project. Our student leaders assembled sensory bags that will be delivered to local first responders.
These bags are designed to provide helpful resources in a variety of situations when first responders are working with individuals who have sensory needs.
We’re proud of our OilersLEAD students for finding a way to serve others and make a positive impact in our community!

**We are extending Powder Puff sign ups until today, but that will be the absolute deadline for determining whether we have enough to have the game. If it is cancelled all money will be refunded. This is a fundraiser for after prom and your entry fee includes, practices, the game, and a t-shirt.
**Remember that the schedule we will follow this week for homecoming activities is in Google Drive. Homecoming games will be in the gym today and Thursday. Students sit by grade level during games. All faculty and paras need to be in the gym/stadium helping supervise sitting with students. Reminder we will follow the 2nd Coronation Schedule on Friday also found in Google Drive.
**Tonight's volleyball game theme will be Pink/Kelly Strong. We will move the ESPN theme to another volleyball game this season. Please wear pink/Kelly Strong shirts to support former Eastwood Elementary Teacher, Kelly Booten at the volleyball game tonight. There will be raffle baskets, a bake sale, and a Pink Night Dedication at the game. Proceeds will benefit the Kelly Booten Pink Heart Scholarship which is awarded to an EAWR student. Wear your pink to the volleyball game tonight!!

**Coronation (crowning of the Queen) will be held at 7:30 pm this Saturday, October 3rd. This event is open to the public and all tickets must be purchased at the door for $5. Following Coronation there will be a short photo session in the East Building Courtyard. The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 3rd from 9-11 pm. The dance will be held in the Courtyard and students will enter and through the EVOLV system at door E2. The cost for the dance is $5 paid at the door and snacks/drinks can be purchased for an additional charge. *Note a student can choose where he/she wants to go to Coronation, the dance, or both. It is not required to go to Coronation to attend the dance or vice versa.

EAWR will conduct a staff-only reunification drill today, September 25, from 12:30–2:30 p.m.
No students or families are participating in this exercise.
During this time, community members may notice an increased police presence on campus, school buses leaving campus, and police vehicles accompanying the buses to an off-site reunification location. These are planned parts of the drill.
There is no emergency or threat to our school.
This exercise allows EAWR staff and local first responders to practice communication, accountability, transportation, and reunification procedures.
We appreciate the support of our first responders, community partners, and staff as we continue strengthening EAWR’s emergency-preparedness procedures.
