EAWR’s Riverbend Growth Association Young Adults Committee Representatives were recognized at the Chamber Choice Awards this afternoon --Isaac Thornton, Landon Bomkamp, Adyson Bunt, and Mayonna Jaggie. Also a huge thank you to John Barnerd for being our students mentor. Isaac received a $500 scholarship, and Mayonna received a $750 scholarship.






Registration for 2025-2026 athletics is now open! Parents should go to EAWR.net on their web browser and click Oiler Athletics at the top of the screen. Two new features are parents may sign their student up for multiple sports all at one time and physicals may also be uploaded now for the athletic department to review and approve. Good luck today to our teams competing in the IHSA postseason! Boys Track & Field is at Civic Memorial for Sectionals while Softball plays Gillespie in the semi-finals of the Gillespie Regionals. Go Oilers!


Serenity Miller & Somona Acheson represented EAWR at the first ever Illinois Invent to Prevent Program. The focus was to help reduce bullying & violence within schools & communities.
After presenting on their project - Oiler PA.T.H.S., EAWR was awarded 2nd Place receiving a $3000 prize to help sustain and further develop their efforts. Congratulations to Serenity & Somona, as well as two other teammates - Koen Miller & Kat Tuttle!

**Free Madison County Transit summer bus passes are here! All students, 18 and under, can ride free from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Pick up your pass in the Attendance Center.
**Anyone interested in doing behind the wheel instruction for Drivers Ed over the summer, please contact Mr. Forsting for scheduling. Please include any dates you are unavailable and preference of mornings or afternoons. Drivers near licensing age will be given preference, but everyone who wants to drive should be able to.
**Summer school is Tuesday, May 27th-Friday, June 27th. If a student needs to take summer school or there are questions regarding summer school, please contact the student’s guidance counselor Mrs. Vambaketes or Mrs. Struif in the Guidance Office.
