**The WR VFW is looking for volunteers this Saturday, November 15th starting at 10 am to help bag toys for the Toys for Tots Program. If you would like to volunteer please bring a community service paper with you to the event and those are located outside of the Guidance Office. The WR VFW is located on Edwardsville Road diagonal from the EAWR Softball Field.
**Youth Alive - Student led Bible Study will meet on the 1st and 4th Wednesdays of the month during academic lab in Mrs. Roethe's room E119. The first meeting is on Wednesday, December 3. If you would like to attend, see her for a pass prior to the first meeting. We hope to see you there.

It may have been a short week, but we still had numerous students get “Caught Doing Great Things.” Here are three who were courageous enough to have their photo taken so we could recognize them publicly.
We’re proud to share that many more students were caught doing great things as well—some simply prefer not to have their photo taken, which we completely respect.
Regardless, every student recognized receives a gift certificate to the Oiler Express Café, which is worth its' weight in gold during the school day!

ESports traveled to Springfield on Wednesday to showcase our program. Coach Jerman and Mr. Verdun have done great things with this program. Also, a shoutout to our retired, Mr. Matrix-Wand who also was key in starting this program years ago!

Ms. Arment's Journalism Class visited some local businesses on Thursday-- Bri’s Brew@ Downtown's WestEnd & Courtyard and Cafe LaNae & Bakery.
The City of Wood River is sponsoring a Veteran's Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 4:00 pm at EAWR Memorial Gym.
There is no school on Monday, November 10th due to having parent teacher conferences this past week. There is also no school on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. Students will return to school on Wednesday, November 13th.
Great job by all the students involved in the production of The War of the Worlds. The next performance is tomorrow night at 7 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.
