EAWR will conduct a staff-only reunification drill today, September 25, from 12:30–2:30 p.m.
No students or families are participating in this exercise.
During this time, community members may notice an increased police presence on campus, school buses leaving campus, and police vehicles accompanying the buses to an off-site reunification location. These are planned parts of the drill.
There is no emergency or threat to our school.
This exercise allows EAWR staff and local first responders to practice communication, accountability, transportation, and reunification procedures.
We appreciate the support of our first responders, community partners, and staff as we continue strengthening EAWR’s emergency-preparedness procedures.

Any girl wishing to play or boy wishing to coach or cheer, please see Mrs. Timmins for a waiver and to sign up. The cost is $15 and includes a shirt. Spots are limited and you must sign up by Friday, September 25th!
**Coronation (crowning of the Queen) will be held at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 3rd. This event is open to the public and all tickets must be purchased at the door for $5. Following Coronation there will be a short photo session in the East Building Courtyard. The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 3rd from 9-11 pm. Approved guests may attend but guest forms are due by September 24th. Rules about who can and can't attend the dance are on the form. The dance will be held in the Courtyard and students will enter and through the EVOLV system at door E2. The cost for the dance is $5 paid at the door and snacks/drinks can be purchased for an additional charge. *Note a student can choose where he/she wants to go to Coronation, the dance, or both. It is not required to go to Coronation to attend the dance or vice versa.

**All school pictures are today. Students should have received an order form in their first hour class but if a student needs an additional form please stop by the Main Office. Seniors can submit a different picture for the yearbook but still need to get their picture taken by Lifetouch to be included on the 2027 class composite picture.

**The first Oiler SHINE meeting of the year will be today during academic lab in room E121. Oiler SHINE is a group that works with Chestnut Health to raise awareness of teen mental health issues while promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Freshmen will report to the assigned room at 10:45 am on Wednesday (teachers please go over this with freshmen). Senior mentors need to leave class at 10:40 to go to the assigned room. All other students are not to leave their assigned 3rd hour class.

**There will be a tailgate with pizza, chips, soda/water from 6:15-6:40 in the area by the tennis courts on Friday before the home varsity football game. All students and staff are invited to attend. The theme for the football game this Friday is Pirates (no fake weapons) and all students are invited to be on the field during pre-game and sit in the student section.
**This Friday, September 25th, underclass students will participate in MAP testing, while seniors will have a Community Service Day from 8:00–11:25 a.m. This will be an early dismissal day for all students. Attendance on September 25th is required for all seniors. However, seniors who have completed all required community service hours by Friday, September 18th will not be required to attend school on September 25th. Please make sure all required service hours are completed and submitted by the September 18th deadline if you wish to be excused from attending on September 25th.
**Seniors who haven't finished community service will report to the Memorial Gym the morning of Friday the 25th for the community service project from 8-11:25 am. The list of students that MUST attend school on Friday has been shared by Mrs Robinson.
