If you clear obligations and are passing the class you don't have to take that final.

This morning at 7:54 a.m., the District’s Omnilert gun detection system was activated in the student parking lot after a student was observed brandishing an Orbeez-style toy gun toward another student’s vehicle.

As designed, the system immediately alerted law enforcement, who responded to campus within seconds. The situation was quickly assessed, and the object involved was confirmed to be not a real firearm.

At all times, the campus remained secure and safe. There was no ongoing threat to students or staff.

This incident demonstrates that the Omnilert detection system functioned exactly as intended—providing rapid identification and immediate notification to law enforcement so situations can be addressed without delay.

Student safety remains our highest priority. We appreciate the quick coordination between school personnel and responding officers that ensured a prompt and appropriate resolution.

We will continue to communicate with families whenever safety-related matters arise. Thank you for your continued support as we work to maintain a safe learning environment for all students.
