Earth & Space Science students participated in the Solar Oven Challenge on Friday, March 6th. After learning about the Sun, students created poster presentations and made solar ovens to cook s'mores. Thank you to Mr. Strohmeier, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Reed, Mr. Lawson, Ms. Holloway, Mrs. Robinson, Mr. Gockel, and Mr. Beatty for being judges.
Saturday, Josie Hagaman participated in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest and received a Division 1, Superior rating on her vocal solo. Great job, Josie.

**Required testing for ACT and ACT Secure for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors is on Wednesday, March 25th at EAWR. It is an online test so it is very important that all students who are testing bring your fully charged, school issued, Chromebook on March 25th and be in attendance that day. There will be no early bird on testing day and all students need to be in their testing room by 8:00 am. Dismissal for freshmen/sophomores is between 11:30-11:45, juniors 12:30-12:45 and any students with a different dismissal time will be contacted by Mrs. Zipprich. Students may not have phones, earbuds/headphones, or smart watches in the testing room and may also not wear hats/hoods so leave these items at home or they will be collected. Also, students may not have other items/materials out during testing including food and drink. Grab and go lunch will be available on March 25th. Testing lists will be shared later this week which includes room assignments. Also, you may bring an approved calculator with you for testing. While the printer works to get the main book delivered by the end of April, the Oiler Yearbook staff will be hard at work on the Spring Supplement. If you haven't reserved your yearbook yet, there are still some available. You can buy them online from the link on the school's homepage or by bringing $60 cash or check to Mr. James in the Art Room. Please make checks payable to EAWR.
