Here is an update to today's athletic schedule:
- Boys Basketball (FR, JV, and V) postponed to tomorrow night (Wed, Jan. 8th) Bus time is 3:15 pm for Greenville.
- Boys/Girls Bowling at Airport Bowl vs. Southwestern has been cancelled and a make up date not yet determined.
- Wrestling at Breese Central has been cancelled and a make up date not yet determined.
In summary, all games today are cancelled or postponed to a different date. Practices will be allowed if/when the parking lots are cleared and deemed safe to bring people on campus. An update on practices will come after noon as work continues to clear the parking lots.
Bowling tomorrow (Tue, Jan. 7) has been cancelled as Airport Bowl will not be opening in time for the game.
Due to heavy snow still covering our parking lots, all practices are cancelled today. Mon, 01/06.
Announcement: B/G Bowling at Bel Air Bowl and the Fresh/Soph Boys Basketball game at Marquette have been cancelled due to dangerous road conditions and parking lots that are still not cleared. Bowling has been rescheduled for Mon, 2/3 at 3 pm. Basketball has not been rescheduled.
Just received word that tomorrow's wrestling match at Breese Central has been canceled. A make up date is being worked on and will be announced when finalized.
Oiler Nation
Due to winter weather, East Alton-Wood River High School will be closed for in-person learning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th. However, learning will continue remotely as it will be an E-Learning Day. Students are required to log on to their Google Classroom accounts to access Google Classroom codes and complete assignments.
Extra-curricular activities and practice times, if possible, will be communicated tomorrow.

Here is our schedule for the weekend. Reminder that the basketball game is now at Marissa on Sat. This is due to work in Memorial Gym that has taken a few days longer than anticipated. No other scheduled home events are expected to be impacted by this project.
2nd Semester Information
**The first day of the 2nd semester for students is Tuesday, January 7th. There will be a 2 pm dismissal the first week of the semester Tuesday-Friday. There will be early bird band and PE on Tuesday.
**Schedules will be finalized Tuesday morning and paper schedules will be available for students to pick up in the East Building Courtyard starting at 7:30 am on Tuesday. All students need to bring their ID and fully charged Chromebook to school daily.

Important: Due to work in Memorial Gym, Friday's boys basketball game has been moved to a new date and location. The game will now be played at Marissa H.S. on Saturday at 6:00 pm. JV will play one half only so Varsity will tip off around 7 pm.
Oilers with an exciting fourth quarter comeback to win the Consolation bracket final today 40-38 over Sandoval.
Kaylynn Buttry earned all tournament team honors.
