**Men’s basketball players: Open Gym practice is scheduled for tonight at 5 PM. Report to the track for the first portion of practice, and we will head to the gym after conditioning. The season starts November 10th, so use these opportunities to prepare. Bring your outdoor shoes for conditioning, extra clothes, and a water bottle if possible. If you can’t attend, please notify the coaches. If you do not have any form of communication at home, please find Mr. Adams to communicate before the end of the day!
**Theme for volleyball on Thursday is Oil Spill and the theme for Friday night's football game is Pink. There will be no tailgate on Friday before the game due to senior night. Please be in the stands by 6:30 to support our seniors.
**The WR VFW is looking for volunteers this Saturday, October 25th starting at noon to help bag toys for the Toys for Tots Program. If you would like to volunteer please bring a community service paper with you to the event and those are located outside of the Guidance Office. The WR VFW is located on Edwardsville Road diagonal from the EAWR Softball Field.
**Student council will be hosting a pumpkin painting party on October 27th immediately after school in the East Building courtyard. If you would like to attend, sign up in the attendance center. There are only 20 spots available. Student council will be hosting a bonfire for all EAWR students on October 29th from 6:30-8:30pm out on the Oiler Nation patio near the concession stand. There will be food, drinks, and activities and the event is FREE. Only EAWR students may attend.

We will be working on a project for the local Veteran’s Hospital from 11:30-2:30 in the Courtyard. We will provide pizza for lunch and all supplies. If you are interested in earning 3 hours of community service please sign up in the google doc emailed to you by Mrs Robinson.

Oiler Athletics Daily Update for Mon, Oct. 20
What a day in OilerNation! Hosted the 18 school Cahokia Conference Cross Country Meet at Belk Park at 9 am and the 16 school EAWR JV Volleyball Invitational at the Wood River Rec. Center and Memorial Gym from 9 am until 6 pm. Congrats to Bunker Hill and Marquette winning the championship for their division in Volleyball.
Our JV tournament is underway both here and at the Wood River Rec Center! 16 teams, 4 games every hour!
Mrs. Weber’s class had their first class lunch together at the Wood River Burger Bar. The staff there were very good to us and the kids had a great time together.
Congratulations to Kaylynn Buttry and Hailey Handler on winning their opening Sectional match over Bunker Hill!
Today during Academic Lab our Guidance Dept. and Mr. Beatty met with student athletes regarding NCAA Eligibility and the classes and GPA required to play collegiately.
