**The East Alton Soapbox Derby is Saturday, September 6th. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the Attendance Center. Volunteers need to arrive at 9:00 am and the event will be over around 2 pm. All volunteers need to meet at the check station by Tropical Sno in East Alton (by the old EA Shop n Save). If you volunteer, please wear an Oiler shirt or another appropriate t-shirt and be sure to sign in and sign out. Again the sign up is in the Attendance Center.

**The theme for tonight night's volleyball game is Hawaiian. All freshmen are invited to stop by the Attendance Center in the East Building today to pick up a lei for the theme. Freshmen who wear the lei can get into the game for free. Freshmen starts at 5 pm, JV 6 pm, and varsity around 7:15 pm.

Volleyball has their home opener tonight in Memorial Gym vs. Civic Memorial! There are three levels of games tonight starting with the freshman team at 5:00. JV plays around 6:00 and Varsity around 7:00.
Oilers Boys Soccer will play Carlyle at 7:00 tonight in the John Martin Kickoff Tournament over at Wood River Soccer Park.

**We will dismiss at our regular dismissal time of 2:30 pm.
**Senior Mentors – since the first Monday in September is a holiday we will do our follow up mentor meeting TODAY in room E121. Teacher please allow senior mentors to leave during academic lab today to go to room E121.
**Starting this week the incentive for the cafe/clothing room starts. Only students with 2 or fewer tardies from the previous week will be allowed to go to those areas during the school day. Teachers were emailed a list of students who have lost privileges this week and students who lost privileges will be sent a reminder. Remember this starts over every week so if you have 2 or fewer tardies this week you can earn the incentive back for next week.
