Tuesday, September 17th **Coronation (crowning of the Queen) will be held at 7:30 pm on Saturday, September 28th. This event is open to the public and all tickets must be purchased at the door for $5. Following Coronation there will be a short photo session in the East Building Courtyard. **The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 28th from 9-11 pm. Approved guests may attend and guest forms are due by this Friday, September 20th. The dance will be held in the Courtyard and students will enter through door E2. The cost for the dance is $5 paid at the door. Note: Students may attend the Coronation, the dance, or both. It is not required to go to Coronation to attend the dance or vice versa. **National See You at the Pole Day is held each year on the fourth Wednesday of September. On this day students, faculty and staff around the nation join together at their schools' flagpoles for a few minutes of fellowship and prayer. If you are interested, we will meet at the Memorial Gym flagpole on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:40 am. **East Alton First United Methodist Church would like to reach out to students regarding a volunteer opportunity at their yearly haunted house! The informational meeting for volunteers is this Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M at EA First United Methodist Church by Eastwood School. What a fantastic night to be an Oiler! Special thanks to Riverbend Patriots for their help with the planning for the pregame festivities and Pruitt Mechanical for their financial support. The pregame was one to remember and the boys got it done on the field with a 24-7 win over the Explorers. Most importantly, we honored our veterans, active military, and first responders!

Season passes will be on sale at the football game tonight. They are for sale ONLY out of gate one which is the gate closest to the East Building/Attendance Center. Door E2 is a good reference point to find this gate. They are $30 cash only.

Free admission to veterans, active military, and first responders. All three will be invited to exit the tunnel to a rousing ovation just prior to the skydivers coming in with a game ball and the American Flag. Hope to see you there!

Girls tennis won 5-4 tonight over Roxana

Senior mentor meetings were held with freshmen today during academic lab and the topic was getting involved. Freshmen received leis to wear to the volleyball game tomorrow night--the theme is Hawaiian. They received camo bracelets to wear to the football game on Friday--the theme is camo.

Today Mr Strohmeier's biology classes completed a murder mystery lab. The students tested for macromolecules in the stomach contents of the victim to find out what the victim ate and determine which restaurant he was poisoned at.
