Oilers Varsity Boys Basketball kicks off the season tonight at 6 pm in the 1st Annual Hoopsgivjng Basketball Classic at Roxana.

Sophomore class rings will be delivered on Monday, November 29th from 7:30-8:00 am in the Courtyard. Payments are due at the time of ring pick up and checks should be made payable to Jostens.

**The Great River Road Run is this Saturday and Mr. Colona is looking for volunteers from 8 am-noon to help with the event. All volunteers will receive a free long sleeve dri fit shirt. If interested please contact Mr. Colona at russc1956@yahoo.com. Volunteers need to meet at the Alton Visitors Center.
**Senior Pictures and Senior Baby Pictures for the Oiler Yearbook are due to Mr. James by January 7. Email digital files to him, or deliver hard copies to the Art Room, M-009.
**Time is running out to buy your yearbook for $50. The price goes up to $60 second semester, so if you want it for the lower price, be sure to buy it before first semester ends! You can reserve your book with Mr. James in M-009 or by using eawr.revtrak.net.
**Student Council is sponsoring Food for Finals until December 15th. Bring in food or hygiene items and help us fill the courtyard. If we reach our goal, all students with a passing grade will be exempt from final exams.
**Student Council will be hosting a blood drive in the auditorium on Friday, December 3rd from 8am-1pm. Students 16 and older can make an appointment by seeing or emailing Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels.
**The Wood River Enrichment Network, along with the WR Police Department, is sponsoring a 5K walk/run this Saturday and they are in need of volunteers. The event is this Saturday, November 27th from 7 am-11 am and volunteers can sign up in the Google sheet shared by Mrs Robinson or contact Sergeant Brady Greene at 618-254-3113. Please meet at Russel's Corner Cafe. All volunteer hours will count towards the required community service hours.
**There will be a spirit club meeting in E121 for all spirit club members on Monday, November 29th.

Historic Memorial Gym and the newly refinished Coach "Chick" Summers Court will be ready for Oiler action on Friday December 3! On Monday November 22, 2021 the floor company will be on site for one final screening of the refinished floor and will apply a coat of sealant. They will then return on Tuesday November 23, 2021 to apply the last and final coat of sealant. The project will then be FINISHED! The floor will need to cure and harden for 10 days. In the meantime please view the updated pictures of Historic Memorial Gym and the newly refinished Coach "Chick" Summers Court. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO DO GREAT THINGS!

Girls Varsity Basketball Team up 22-13 at halftime over Valmeyer in the Dupo Tournament.
EAWR Student Council is collecting food and hygiene products (or money) for local pantries again this school year. The goal is to fill this space in the East Building courtyard! The food drive runs through December 15th. Please contact the school if you would like to donate.
