Lifetouch will be at EAWR from 7:30-11:30 am next Friday, October 21st, for Picture Retake Day. Students, faculty, and staff who did not get pictures taken in September, please take time on the morning of the 21st to go to the auditorium for retakes. Also, if a student is unhappy with the photos from the first picture day, this is an opportunity to get new ones. Order forms are available in the Main Office.
Congratulations to the 170 sophomore through senior students that were recognized at the Renaissance Assembly today. These students worked hard in the classroom last semester, had good grades, no unexcused absences and two or fewer tardies. Pictured are some of the students that won prizes at the assembly today.

Tuesday, October 11, 2022 **Tomorrow is the assembly to honor Renaissance winners. The assembly will be held at 1:00 in the Auditorium. All students involved have been notified and teachers should all have a list of the Renaissance students. **Seniors, you are required to have the Meningitis Vaccine by this Friday. Please turn in proof of the vaccine to the school nurse before the deadline. Freshmen, physicals and proof of current immunizations are also required and need to be turned in to the nurse by this Friday. Students who do not have the required paperwork turned in by this Friday will be excluded from school until it is turned in. **The Village of Hartford is hosting a Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, October 22nd. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kristie Luebbert at 618-792-8820. Volunteers for volleyball are needed from 4-7 and football from 630-930. If interested please sign up in the attendance center. **Spirit club will meet today during academic lab to plan Friday's pep assembly. Members need to report to E121 during academic lab if not attending another meeting. Teachers, a roster of members is in google drive. **Here are the themes this week: Today’s volleyball home game--generation theme as senior citizens--it’s also volleyball senior night, Thursday volleyball at Roxana--pink night, Friday football home--oil spill (wear black) There will not be a tailgate this Friday because of senior night starting so early. Please plan to arrive by 6:20 to watch senior night. Also be sure to wear maroon and gold to school on Friday--we will have a short pep assembly at the end of the day. **The room assignments for the PSAT testing for juniors tomorrow was shared by Mrs Robinson. All juniors will report directly to their testing room tomorrow morning. Testing will end at 11:40. Juniors who have A lunch will go to lunch following testing then to the remainder of 4th hour. Juniors that have B lunch will go to class after testing and take their regular B lunch. Reminder that there may be no phones in the testing room. The EAWR faculty participated in Madison County Institute at Collinsville High School. Ms Gardner, Ms Boyd and Mrs Miller were also presenters at the institute today.
We have an exciting weekend ahead in Oiler Athletics! Football looks to go to 6-1 on the season, boys soccer competes in the regional tomorrow and we host our annual cross country invitational tomorrow night. Lets' Go Oilers!

Thursday, October 6, 2022 **All juniors and some reclassified sophomores will be taking the PSAT next Wednesday, October 12th. Students will report directly to their testing room (the room document will be shared in Google Drive). Students need to have #2 pencils and a calculator for testing. Volunteers will be bagging toys to prepare for Christmas present distribution.
