**The first Drama Club meeting will be this Thursday at 5pm in the theater This will be an informational meeting for anyone already a member or new students looking to join.
**Juniors and Seniors: Would you like to be the next Oiler Dan? If you have a lot of spirit and would like to try out, sign up in the attendance center.
**The East Alton First United Methodist Church located at 1001 Third Street in East Alton (across from Eastwood School) is looking for volunteers to help with outside yard clean up from 9-11 am this Saturday, August 27th. If you are interested in volunteering please sign up in the Attendance Center located in the East Building.
**If you want to join Student Council, applications are due THIS WEDNESDAY by the end of the day. Even if you were in Student Council last year, you must complete a new application. Applications were emailed to all students by Mrs. Robinson.
**This Friday is our first home football game and Spirit Club is sponsoring a tailgate party with free hot dogs, chips, and soda/water for all EAWR students and staff in the bus circle from 6:15-6:45. The theme for the game is maroon and gold and Spirit Club would like all EAWR students to sit in the student section located at the north end of the stadium. Also students will line up on the field for pre-game by 6:45 pm.
**Students can purchase a fall athletic pass from the Attendance Center for $5. This pass will allow an EAWR student into all fall home games for $5 (football/volleyball) except for IHSA contests. All fall athletes and band members get into fall events for free.
**Every Friday is maroon and gold day! Wear maroon and gold and support your Oilers!!

**All students should have received an email from Mrs. Robinson with the student council application. If you are interested in joining the council, fill that out and submit it by THIS WEDNESDAY at the end of the day. We will begin meetings next Thursday during academic lab.

Junior Oilers girls basketball open gym in Memorial Gym this Sunday afternoon. They’ll meet every other Sunday from 2-4 and this is open to 2nd-5th grade girls in the Oiler Nation districts.
On Friday night, the EAWR JFL presented the football program and the athletic department with $500 checks. $500 will go to offset the cost of paint for the field and $500 as a donation to the football team. Good luck to all our JFL teams this fall and thank you for this donation.

Meet The Oilers Night kicked off at 5:30 with volleyball. The next activity starts at 6:45 at Memorial Stadium.
JR. Oilers girls basketball students living within the OilerNation districts are invited to attend the following open gyms here at Memorial Gym. Let's pack the gym, learn some new basketball skills, and have some fun!
