The 26th Annual Dash n. Glow tonight at EAWR. The younger kids ran a half mile course while the older kids a mile. Thanks to Coach Colona for all he does to promote the sport of running in the Metro East.





Today the administrators from the three districts worked together to plan the Oiler Nation Celebration and other initiatives for the school year.





Registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open and must be completed online. Parents who are listed as the primary guardian in Skyward will need to register online by going to www.eawr.net and register using the Parent Access Account.
Fall sports start on Monday, August 8th and all athletes must have a current physical on file and be registered on 8 to 18 to practice https://eawr.8to18.com/accounts/login. Practice times for the 8th are listed on the school’s web page, www.eawr.net and on the school’s Facebook page.
If any student in early band or early bird PE needs transportation to early bird please contact Mr. Mike Moxey at 254-3151 ext 2561 and leave a message.

Fall athletic practices start on August 8th. In order to participate in practice a student must be registered in 8 to 18 and also have a current physical. Here are the times and locations for practice on Monday the 8th.

On Thursday, August 11th and Friday, 12th the WRPD will host an Active Shooter Response Training for surrounding police departments, fire departments and EMS at East Alton-Wood River High School. Both days Whitelaw Ave. near the high school will be closed to traffic. Please be aware of this training happening all day on August 11th and 12th. This training is not open to the public. Please contact Chief Wells with any questions 618-251-3114.

The Oiler Pride Band has been hard at work this summer preparing the marching routine for football season. Great job band members and Mr. Alexander.





Football parents and athletes,
There will be a mandatory parent/athlete meeting in the auditorium on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 5:00 pm. Please enter through the front door of the main building.
To practice on Monday, students must be registered for football on 8to18 with a current physical. Physicals may be emailed to mbeatty@eawr.org or brought to the meeting.
Directions on how to register on 8to18 are included with this message.

Online registration is now open for all students. Please go to www.eawr.net to complete registration. Parents who are new to the district do need to request an EAWR Parent Access Account to complete registration.

This program had an amazing summer! They got involved in the community, started a skills camp and league for local youth at the Keasler Center, and traveled together playing summer games. Success is coming your way Oilers!



Oiler football had a great three days at the Murphysboro football camp. The Oilers have a week off next week before the official start of the football season on August 8. Let's go Oilers!
