Substance Abuse Resources for Parents & Students

The 2015 Madison County Youth Forum discussed and shared ideas on how to better provide substance abuse education to parents/guardians and students.  One suggestion was to upload valid and reliable resources to school websites.

These resources were chosen by Chestnut Health Systems' Prevention Department and the Madison County Health Department.  Due to funding provided, there are some resources specific to your community.

Attached below are:.

-       A list of websites for both parents/guardians and students

-       A parent booklet regarding communicating with youth about substance abuse. This version has information about your community's local coalition - The Lewis and Clark Area Youth Alliance (LCAYA)

-       A substance abuse treatment resource card

-       Rx4Safety Flyer that provides all locations for unwanted medication disposal
