EAWR Foundation to Sponsor Commemorative Brick Campaign!

E-mail Print PDF

The EAWR Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation licensed in the state of Illinois, has launched a campaign, which will not only raise funds that will go directly to the needs of East Alton - Wood River High School students, but will provide alumni, staff, parents, and friends of EAWR to leave a lasting memorial of or dedication to their families, loved ones, or other honorees. Also, local businesses may wish to use this opportunity to promote their business and show their support for EAWR at the same time.

EAWR is selling commemorative bricks which will be prominently displayed at the Main entrance to the Memorial Gymnasium. Ordering is available right now, by downloading the order form, which can be found as a separate .pdf in the Documents section under Athletics and Activities folder. Also, ordering can be done over the phone, by placing your order at 254-3151, Ext. 502. Instructions from the Order Form are reprinted below, as well. Standard 4" x 8" bricks with up to 3 lines of characters and 18 characters per line are only $50, with 8" x 8" bricks also available for $100.

Thanks, in advance for supporting the work of the EAWR Foundation page. For more information, see below ....

YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE GIFT: INVESTING IN OUR KIDS FUTURE!

EAWR High School has played a key part of the lives and memories of many thousands of its graduates, parents, and community members for over 90 years!

As we have learned from all of the inducted Hall of Fame members and the other nominees, as well as our loyal alumni, thousands of our graduates have gone on to successful and productive lives and careers, with many giving back their time and effort, assisting the high school over these many years.

With declining state resources and growing needs of our boys and girls - with many whose family income is below the poverty line - our beloved alma mater is facing bold challenges to provide resources to our students and teachers.

This is the purpose of the EAWR Foundation. The Board of Education - in partnership with local citizens and community leaders - was formed to meet these bold challenges.

No contribution is too small, and all are greatly appreciated. To make a contribution, please complete the rear panel of the Founation brochure.  Thank you very much.
