Oiler Peer Leaders - Project "Sticker Shock"

E-mail Print PDF

The Oiler Peer Leaders participated in the 2012 Project Sticker Shock. This project aims at keeping alcohol out of the hands of those under 21 years of age. Project Sticker Shock is sponsored by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission and many other organizations, such as Illinois Association of Police Chiefs, Illinois Sheriff Association, Illinois Drug Education Alliance, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and many more. The Oiler Peer Leaders got many local liquor establishments to participate in Project Sticker Shock by providing them with decals, proof of age signs, posters and information about the dangers of underage drinking. The vast majority of liquor establishments in the area are already selling and serving responsibly. Project Sticker Shock is just a reminder to the liquor establishments, people 21 and older, and youth that it is illegal for those under the age of 21 to purchase or consume alcohol.

Our ALPHA Peer Leaders are: Jordon Crown, Alonsha Edwards, Niki Edwards, Taylor Wiegand, Kayli Staten, Sam McCann, Kim Seitzinger, Kayla Beck
