** The following colleges will have representatives on campus:
SIUE on September 8
McKendree University on September 9
Greenville College on September 12
College bound junior and senior students interested in meeting with any of these representatives need to speak with your guidance counselor.

**The City of East Alton is looking for volunteers to help with the Soapbox Derby on Saturday, September 10th from 9 am until 2 pm.  Students who volunteer will need to meet at East Alton Shop and Save by 9 am.  If you would like to sign up please stop by the Attendance Center in the East Building.

**Student Council is currently accepting membership applications for the 2016-2017 school year.  All students wishing to be a member of student council must apply, even if you were a member last year.  Please check your school email for the StuCo application and complete the Google Form. Today is the last day to apply.

**Junior and Senior Girls-  If you are interested in applying for Big Sisters please stop by Mrs. Parmentier's room M205 or Mrs. Miller's room E222 to pick up an application.  All applications are due before lunch on Friday, September 16th to Mrs. Parmentier or Mrs. Miller.  If you are already a member, you do not need to reapply.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parmentier or Mrs. Miller.

**Members of Big Sisters- Our first meeting will be Friday, Sept. 9th in the Lecture Hall during Academic Lab.  Our second meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 14th right after school in room M205, Mrs. Parmentier's room.

**The Alzheimer’s Association is having a fundraising walk on Saturday, September 24th at SIUE.  
Mrs. Scheffel is sponsoring a team from EAWR high school.  Our team will also be doing a roadblock on Saturday, September 10th in Wood River from 8am -2pm.   We are looking for students to work the roadblock.  If you are interested in joining the team and earning some community service hours, please contact Mrs. Scheffel in room M105 or send her an email.
