**Those wishing to join student council should pick up an application from Mrs. Timmins in room E207. Even returning members need to fill out an application. Applications and your $5 t-shirt money are due by this Friday, September 4th, and meetings will begin the following week. We have a lot planned for this year and hope that many of you will join!

 

**Oilerette tryouts are going to be held this Thursday and Friday from 3:00-6:00 in the Aud. Gym and on Saturday from 8:00am-10:00am. 

 

**Today is picture day!  Students will take his/her picture during PE, driver's ed., health, or academic lab.  Students may change out of dress code for the picture. 

 

**Senior girls who are interested in running for Harvest Queen need to attend a mandatory meeting after school today in the library.  If you can't attend the meeting please, contact Mrs. Robinson prior to the meeting.

 

**Celebrate your day!  Add yourself or a friend to the “Birthday Board” by the Library for only 25 cents. See Ms. Budde in the Library for more information.

 

**Anyone interested in joining Mr. Daniels’ Germany/Austria trip for June 2016 should come sign up in E208 for a Parent Meeting on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:00 in the Mr. Daniels room E208.  There will not be a meeting today as previously announced. He will cover the itinerary, the program and costs during the meeting, but you have to sign up and bring your parent!  Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to visit Germany and Austria!

 

**Junior and Senior girls:  Applications for Big Sisters are available from Mrs. Parmentier in room M205 or Mrs. Miller in room E222.  All applications are due this Friday.

 

**The following colleges will be on campus to talk to interested junior and senior students:

            Western Illinois University on September 10 at 9:30

            McKendree University on September 11 at 1:00

            SIUE on September 11 at 1:00

**Young men are required by law to register with the Selective Service System within 30 days of their 18th birthday.  If you have not registered, you may do so here at the high school.  Please see Mrs. Hayes in the Guidance Office.  This will need to be completed before you can fill out FAFSA forms for college.
