**Current Big Sisters- We will have our first meeting on Friday, September 15th, during Academic Lab in the lecture hall.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Parmentier or Mrs. Miller.

**Students--$5 Fall athletic passes are on sale in the Attendance Center.  The pass will get an EAWR student into all fall home events for $5.  If you are playing a fall sport or in band you can get into all other fall sports for free.

**Senior girls that are interested in running for Harvest Queen need to attend a meeting after school today in the library. If there are any questions, please see Mrs. Robinson.  This is a mandatory meeting.

**Lifetouch is here today for Picture Day. Students will get their pictures taken during PE, Health, and Driver's Ed classes. All students must get their pictures taken for Yearbook and student IDs. Seniors, get the Lifetouch photo taken even if you plan to submit a portrait from an outside photo studio--if you do not, you will not appear in the Class of 2017 composite photo.  Also, students will be allowed to change clothes for the picture but will need to change back after the photo is taken.  

**The Hartford Fire Department is hosting their annual Fish Fry on September 16, and are in need of 4-6 students who need community service hours.  Duties would include set up, help prepare food, serve and clean up.  This is a great opportunity to not only gain service hours, but to make friendships as well.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call the Hartford Fire Department at 618-254-0012.

**Students--The City of East Alton is looking for volunteers to help with the Soapbox Derby on Saturday, September 9th from 9 am until 2:30 pm.  All volunteers need to meet at East Alton Shop and Save at 9 am on the 9th.  If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the google doc that was shared by Mrs Robinson.

**If you would still like to join Student Council, you have until the end of the day on today. The application was sent to you last week by Mrs.Robinson and should be in your email. Remember, you MUST apply even if you were in student council last year. If you have any questions or concerns, please see or email Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Daniels.

**There will be open gym for all boy's basketball players that are not currently participating in a fall sport tomorrow from 7-9pm in the Memorial Gym.  Hope to have a good turnout.

**Seniors--Spirit Club is hosting a poster making party at 5 pm in the East Building tomorrow.  Any senior that would like to help make poster and tie ribbons on utility poles around town is invited to help.

**There will be a spirit club meeting for all senior members this Thursday during academic lab in room E122.
