**Current Big Sisters- We will have our first meeting on Friday, September 15th, during Academic Lab in the lecture hall.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Parmentier or Mrs. Miller.

**Students--$5 Fall athletic passes are on sale in the Attendance Center.  The pass will get an EAWR student into all fall home events for $5.  If you are playing a fall sport or in band you can get into all other fall sports for free.

**The Hartford Fire Department is hosting their annual Fish Fry on September 16, and are in need of 4-6 students who need community service hours.  Duties would include set up, help prepare food, serve and clean up.  This is a great opportunity to not only gain service hours, but to make friendships as well.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call the Hartford Fire Department at 618-254-0012.

**Students--The City of East Alton is looking for volunteers to help with the Soapbox Derby this Saturday, September 9th from 9 am until 2:30 pm.  All volunteers need to meet at East Alton Shop and Save at 9 am on the 9th.  If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the google doc that was shared by Mrs Robinson.

**There will be a free tailgate party before the home football game tomorrow from 6:00-6:40 pm.  The theme for tomorrow night’s game is neon night.  Fans wear a white t-shirt if you want to take part in the color powder before the game at the tailgate.

**The 1st coronation assembly is tomorrow and the schedule can be found in your 17-18 Schedules Folder.  Voting will be online so it is important that all sophomores, juniors, and seniors have their chromebook to access the link through his/her EAWR account that will be emailed after the assembly to vote.  

**The Cheerleaders will be sponsoring the Queen’s Dance following Coronation on Saturday, September 30th and the cost is $5 per ticket.  Please be sure to follow the handbook rules for dress code—no jeans and dresses/skirts must be at least finger tip in length.  Please remember that this is a school event and students must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner when dancing.  All non-EAWR students will be required to turn in a guest form for the dance by Friday, September 22nd.  Guests are considered anyone that doesn't go to EAWR.  Guests must be under 21 and no middle school students.  Guests must also be currently enrolled in high school or another educational program unless they have already graduated from high school. Guest forms can be picked up and returned to the attendance center.

**Junior and Senior girls interested in joining Big Sisters must pick up and complete an application from Mrs. Miller in E224 or Mrs. Parmentier in M205.  The completed application must be turned in by tomorrow.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Parmentier

Junior and senior students interested in meeting with any of these representatives need to see their Guidance Counselor.
