REPRESENTATIVES from the following colleges will be on campus the following days:

  • St. Louis Community College - on October 29th


JUNIOR & SENIOR students interested in meeting with any representatives may obtain a pass from their guidance counselor.


MRS. ROBINSON is looking for around 20 people to sign up and take a spirit bus to the playoff game at Carlinville on Friday. Anyone interested is asked to please sign up and bring $2 to the attendance center. The bus will be leaving the bus circle on Friday at 5:15 pm. Also, students are to make sure to bring an additional $5 to get into the game.


DURING THE SCHOOL DAY on November 8th, Student council will be hosting a blood drive. Students 16 and over may donate, and all students who attempt to donate will receive a t-shirt. Please see or email Mrs. Timmins to sign up.


ANYONE INTERESTED in participating in Scholar Bowl this year should meet in Mrs. Miller's room, E224, on  Wednesday, October 31st. The meeting will touch on some information such as the match schedule for the year, team shirts, practices, and the start of the season.


FRESHMEN boys who are interested in playing basketball need to go to a meeting in the Attendance Center today during academic lab.  Please see Mr Gockel or Mrs Robinson for a pass.


Community Service Opportunities


THE WOOD RIVER MUSEUM is looking for volunteers on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, and Friday’s from 3-4 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 1-4 pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please check your email for some more information.


LOVEJOY UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Wood River is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival this Saturday from 2-5 pm. If you’d like to help out, please check your email for some more information, as well as the flyer that was sent out.

A COMMUNITY GROUP is looking for volunteers to walk in the Alton Parade on Halloween to raise drug awareness. Volunteers will hand out literature, and also pass out “just say no to drugs” bracelets. If you are interested in volunteering, please check your email for additional details.
