**SIU Carbondale will be on campus today.  College bound juniors and seniors interested in meeting with them need to see their guidance counselor.  


**Guest forms for the Queen's Dance are due today!.


**Juniors and Seniors:  Next Monday, many colleges have open houses.  Take time to check these out, including the Open House at Lewis and Clark Community College from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with free food, live DJ, contests, and games.  


**Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors:  SIUE will be hosting a College Fair on Tuesday, October 22 from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  Over 100 colleges and universities will be there to answer any questions. Check it out on October 22nd!


Seniors:  Any senior student planning to attend college in the Fall must complete the FAFSA.  EAWR will be hosting a FAFSA night tomorrow beginning at 6 p.m. in the Library. There will be college financial aid representatives here to help you complete this important application.  Spacing is limited so please reserve your space with Mrs. Woodman in Guidance.


**Reminder to seniors that proof of the required  meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine and also to freshmen that the required physical exam and immunization forms are due.  There is only 1 week until exclusion.

 

**Coronation is Saturday, October 19th at 7:30 and the Queen's Dance sponsored by the cheerleaders will follow Coronation.  If you would like to purchase a ticket to Coronation they can be bought in the Attendance Center for $4 or at the door for $5.  The cost for the Queen's Dance is $5 and tickets can only be purchased at the door the night of Coronation. Please be sure to follow handbook rules for dress.  Also remember that this is a school event and students must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner when dancing. 

 

**Senior volunteers are needed for Parent/Teacher conferences on October 16th from 5pm to 8pm and October 17th from 5pm to 8pm. Please sign up in the Attendance office with Mrs. Floyd. Reminder.. this will count towards service hours.

 

**Police Chief Wells and Fire Chief McKee will be here today for safety meetings with students. All freshman and sophomore students should report to the auditorium during academic lab.

 

**Juniors:  Just a reminder for those who were eligible for the East Alton Rotary Scholarship, that applications are due next Thursday, October 17 to Mrs. Woodman in Guidance.
