**Big Sisters is holding the Pennies for Patients fundraiser.   Your 3rd hour class will be competing to win a pizza party.  The fundraiser will run through the end of January so bring your loose change or cash to donate. Your 3rd hour teacher has a box to collect donations.  All money raised goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of St. Louis.  If the school raises at least $500 the winning 3rd hour will get a pizza party.

**The Varsity cheerleaders would like to invite everyone to come out and support them at the IHSA Sectional this Saturday at Waterloo High School. They perform at 12:26 PM.

**Our next community service opportunity is tomorrow starting at noon.  We will be making valentines and decorating cookies and cupcakes to take to Integrity Healthcare (Formerly VIP Manor), Foxes Grove, and mail to the VA Hospital. All students participating will meet in the courtyard at noon and then we will be taking a bus to deliver valentines to Integrity and Foxes Grove.  If you would like to sign up please stop by the attendance center.  The activity should be over at 3 p.m.

**Peer tutoring will be offered after school from 2:40 until 3:15 in room E121. Tutors will be available Tuesday and Thursday to help students who may be struggling with homework assignments, projects and studying for upcoming tests. All you need to do is show up. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Vambaketes in Guidance.

**Seniors:  Just a reminder to check out the updated scholarship list Mrs. Robinson emailed out to you earlier this week.  Also, remember the Bank of Edwardsville Scholarship application is due to Mrs. Woodman by Wednesday, Jan. 31.  Remember there can only be one nominee from our school.

**Juniors:  There will be a junior presentation on Monday, Jan. 29th during Academic Lab in the Auditorium.  All juniors should attend.

**All students who received an invitation to join our chapter of the National Honor Society must meet in the Lecture Hall during academic lab on Tuesday, the 30th.  This is a very important meeting in which we will discuss the procedure for applying for membership.  If you have questions, please contact Ms. Mueller in E122.

**Tomorrow will be an all maroon and gold day!
