**Quincy University will be on campus today, Illinois College and MacMurray tomorrow, St. Louis College of Pharmacy on October 7th, and SIU Carbondale on October 10th.  College bound juniors and seniors interested in meeting with them need to see their guidance counselor.  


**Guest forms for the Queen's Dance are available in the Attendance Center.  All non-EAWR students will be required to turn in a form for the dance by Thursday, October 10th to the Attendance Center.  The Queens' Dance will follow Coronation on Saturday, October 19th. Guest refers to anyone who doesn’t go to our school. Your guest must be under 21, they also may not be in middle school.  Your guest must either be in high school or another educational program, unless they have already graduated and are under 21.


**The Wood River Fire Department is looking for volunteers for the annual Wood River Fish Fry at the Wood River Fire Department this Saturday.  Shifts begin at 10:30 am and go in 2-hour increments until 6:30pm. Stop by the Attendance Center to sign up. Please note that there is a home soccer and football game that day so if you commit you are expected to show up.


**Juniors and Seniors:  On Columbus Day, October 14th, many colleges have open houses.  Take time to check these out, including the Open House at LCCC from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with free food, live DJ, contests, and games.  


**Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors:  SIUE will be hosting a College Fair on Tuesday, October 22 from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  Over 100 colleges and universities will be there to answer any questions. Check it out on October 22nd!


**Those junior students who received an East Alton Rotary Scholarship invitation should meet in the Auditorium this Thursday during Academic Lab.  If any student cannot attend, please see Mrs. Woodman or Mrs. Vambaketes as soon as possible.


Seniors:  Any senior student planning to attend college in the Fall must complete the FAFSA.  EAWR will be hosting a FAFSA night on October 10 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Library.  There will be college financial aid representatives here to help you complete this important application.  Spacing is limited so please reserve your space with Mrs. Woodman in Guidance.


**Lifetouch will be back this Friday from 7:45 until 11:30 for Picture Retake Day. If you missed our first Picture Day, please make sure to get your photo taken Friday morning. Forms are available in the main office.
