**This Friday, Mrs. Robinson will be taking a group of students to Beverly Farms for a service project.  If you want to sign up please stop by the attendance center.  We will leave the bus circle at 12 pm and return by 3 pm.  All students participating in the activity must ride the bus to and from the event.

**The Wood River Roundhouse is looking for students to help fill candy bags and set up for the Halloween party after school today at 2:45 pm.  If you are interested, please stop by the attendance center to sign up.  Also, they need a few senior students to help with the actual Halloween party tonight at 6:30 pm.  All of these hours count toward service hours.

**All those interested in participating in Scholar Bowl this year should come to a brief informational meeting after school this Wednesday in Mrs. Miller's room (E222).  We will discuss the season, as well as team shirts.  Thank you and see you there! 

**To celebrate Halloween, student council will be sponsoring orange shirt day this Friday. There is nothing to pay, just wear your orange, school appropriate, shirt with code approved pants and have a happy Halloween!

**Student council will be hiding pumpkins throughout the halls this week. If you find one, return it to Mrs. Timmins and get your treat. You can only turn in 1, per person, per day and you must do it during passing period only. 
 
**Gary W. Phipps from the U.S. Army will be present during lunch hours this Wednesday.  If you are interested in enlisting with the Army, please stop by and talk with him.

 **ATTENTION WEATHER ENTHUSIASTS!!!  Would you like to help increase the public’s awareness of extreme weather events? Do you want to learn about the conditions leading to severe weather events? Do you want to learn how scientists are able to predict our weather? If you do, come join us and enjoy learning some of Mother Nature's history.  Ian Patton would like to start a weather club to explore and investigate the awesome power of weather. Those who are interested in fun and science may sign up with Ian in the library before school or during academic lab in M209 (Mrs. Lincicum’s room). We hope to see you there!
