**The Wood River Library is looking for two volunteers each week to help with the Illinois Junior Chefs Program today, January 31st and February 7 from 3:45-5:45 to help set up, clean up, and assist with cooking class.  If you are interested please sign up in the attendance center.

**The Wood River Library is looking for volunteers to help with story time on  Saturday, February 11th from 9:30 am-11:30 am.  They are looking for a total of 10 volunteers.  If you are interested please sign up in the attendance center.

**Students:  Reminder of the community service opportunity today.  Students will be decorating cupcakes/cookies for local nursing homes and making valentines for the Veterans Hospital in St Louis. We will also be delivering the cupcakes/cookies to the nursing homes. If you are interested in volunteering we will start at noon and be done at 3pm.  Students must ride the bus to the nursing homes and will go admin/guidance staff.  If you are interested in volunteering please sign up in the attendance center. 

**Bring your cash! Once again Big Sisters will be sponsoring the Pennies for Patients fundraiser now through Wed. Feb. 15th.  This will be a competition for 3rd hour classes.  Students/Faculty/Staff will donate money to the boxes for the length of the fundraiser with the goal of raising the most money.  If the school as a whole raises at least $500, the winning class will get a pizza party.   All money collected with go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of St. Louis.  Thank you in advance for your support! 

**Seniors:  Please be sure to check your email for the latest updated scholarship list.

**Seniors:  A reminder that the Bank of Edwardsville Scholarship must be turned into Mrs. Woodman by Monday, Jan. 30.  

**All volleyball players: There will be a meeting on Monday during academic lab for the next fundraiser.  Please plan to attend.  
 
**Juniors and Seniors:  Are you interested in being a Jayhawk from University of Kansas? Stop by Guidance and check out info about Jayhawk night in St. Louis.

**The library is taking names and dates for the FEBRUARY birthday board. Cost is .25 cents and you receive a sweet treat.   See Ms. Budde in the library to sign up.

**See Mr. Lawson if you are interesting in playing girls soccer this spring.  

**The softball team has started open gyms for this season.  Do not wait until it is too late.  Anyone interested in playing softball this year needs to see Mr. Beachum or get the information from a current player.
