**Seniors:  If you have received an award, scholarship or special recognition from a college, or you have enlisted in the Armed Forces after graduation, please stop by the Attendance Center and give this information to Mrs. Hawkins for the awards assembly.

**The Bethalto East Primary Spring Fling event is on Wednesday, May 10th.  The hours are from 4pm-730pm. Students interested in volunteering would help man bounce houses, games, face painting stations, etc. Please check your email for contact information.

**Yearbook Distribution day will be May the 4th, but there are less than 80 yearbooks still available! If you're planning to buy one, you should get your copy reserved as soon as possible. Yearbooks are $60 each, and you can buy them online by using Revtrak, or by bringing cash or a check payable to EAWR to Mr. James in the Art Room, M-009, during Academic Lab or before or after school.

**Today is a half day with an 11:25 dismissal.

**Eastwood Elementary is looking for student volunteers for Family Literacy Night on Thursday, May 3rd from 3-5 pm.  They would like 4 boys and 4 girls to help. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the attendance center.

**Need to learn basic car maintenance?  Your Wood River Library along with Trickey’s Towing are hosting Car101 for teens on Saturday, May 12th at 10:00 am at the Wood River Library.

**Prom picture flyers are available upstairs outside Mr. Marshall's room. Lifetouch will be set up inside prom to take pictures and is the official prom photographer. EAWR is not responsible for any pictures taken by an outside photographer.

**Peer Leadership has hidden 10 questions over teen alcohol abuse around the East and Main Buildings.  If you find one of the special cards (shaped like the sun or a bumble bee) simply google the answer to the question and bring the card to Ms. Mueller in E122 or Mrs. Miller in E222 to get a prize!

**The final READING TREE Drawing for prizes will take place on Tuesday, May 1st with the winners announced on Wednesday, May 2.  Post your books on the tree right away to be entered in the final drawing. Good luck to all who participate.

**Prom is this Saturday at Lewis and Clark Community College.  Students may enter the Commons at 7 pm, dinner will be served at 7:30 pm sharp and there is open seating for dinner, and the dance will be from 8-11 pm.   Guests must arrive with their date in order to go to prom.

 

**After Prom is being held at Gateway Fun Park in Collinsville and students attending must provide their own transportation.  Students need to check in to After Prom between midnight and 12:30 am. No student will be allowed to leave until 2:15 am without a parent contact.  Guidelines for After Prom have been shared with students in Google Drive. After Prom is hosted by a parent committee and they have volunteered many hours to put on a successful event.

 

**This years POPS concert will be held next Wednesday at 7pm in the Auditorium. The cost is FREE so come on out!
