**Madison County Transit free summer bus passes are available in the Main Office.  You can ride free from Memorial Day to Labor day if you are in K-12 grades.  Stop by if you would like one.

 

**Summer school registration forms can be picked up in Guidance and need to be returned as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please stop by the Guidance Office and speak with your counselor. 

 

**There are still some yearbooks available on a first-come/first-served basis. Stop by the art room, M-009 and see Mr. James.

 

**Lifetouch will be at prom to take professional pictures. If you are interested in ordering pictures, the order forms are on the table where prom tickets were sold.

 

**Reminder that if you purchased after prom tickets, please pick them up in the Main Office. 

 

**ANY boy interested in playing soccer for the high school next season MUST stop by coach Lawson's room E211 after school today.  This includes ANYONE who did OR did not play this year and is interested in continuing or joining.  

 

**If you do not have the summer workout schedule for boys basketball, please see Coach Gockel.

**Students who were on High Honor Roll for the 1st semester this year can pick up a voucher for 2 free tickets to the Cardinal baseball game.  See Mrs Hayes in the Guidance Office to pick up the voucher.

**Students: By the end of the day today, you should be notified by your counselor if they are suggesting you take summer school classes. Social Distancing will be observed and masks and wellness screening will be required for entry.

**"Wood River Public Library will have a table set up in the East Building Courtyard today from 9 am-12 pm.  Stop by and check it out!

 

**The Senior Parade will be held  Monday, May 10th at 6 pm.  Line up for seniors will begin at 5:30 pm in the Memorial Gym Parking Lot.  Students may choose to drive themselves or have someone else drive them but we ask that only seniors/drivers report to the Memorial Gym Parking Lot.  The parade will go south down Wood River Ave then turn east down Ferguson and end at Second Street/Ferguson.  Students can decorate cars for the parade.  For safety reasons, please do not throw candy.

 

**The Oiler Booster Club is needing lots of volunteers and this is a great way to start earning community service hours because it is still a graduation requirement for every class besides this year's seniors.  If you would like to volunteer please sign up in this doc that Mrs Robinson shared with you.  If you sign up please show up--remember that masks are still required when volunteering.

 

**Prom guest forms are due May 14th.  Masks will also be required at prom.  

 

**Graduation is 9 am on Wednesday, May 12th and practice is mandatory.  Remember to not decorate your caps and dress appropriately--no jeans, no shorts, and no tennis shoes/pool flip flops.

**"Wood River Public Library will have a table set up in the East Building Courtyard tomorrow from 9 am-12 pm with information and applications about Volunteer Opportunities, the upcoming Summer Reading Challenge, free weekly take home activities, and the Teen Advisory Board. You can pick up a free Take and Make Craft and enter their raffle for a chance to win a Swag Bag of library goodies."

**Yearbook Distribution will be today following the Senior assembly. Seniors that bought yearbooks will be able to pick them up immediately after the assembly. After school, underclassmen that bought yearbooks can come to the hallway by the Memorial Gym for theirs. There are still some available for purchase, but quantities are limited.

 

**Prom guest forms are due May 14th.  Masks will also be required at prom.  

 

Attention Seniors

**The Senior Assembly is today at noon in the Memorial Gym.  Senior families are invited to attend but must enter through the Memorial Gym doors, wear a mask, and go through a wellness screening. 

 

**The last day for seniors if not taking finals is today.  Seniors need to make sure they turn in their Chromebook and clear obligations.  If there are Chromebook questions please contact Mr. Mattix-Wand at gmwand@eawr.org.

 

**Senior finals are tomorrow hours 4-6 and Friday hours EB, 1-3.  A senior is only required to take a final if failing the class or a senior can take the final if they want to try and raise a grade.

 

**Graduation is 9 am on Wednesday, May 12th and practice is mandatory.  Remember to not decorate your caps and dress appropriately--no jeans, no shorts, and no tennis shoes/pool flip flops.

**Seniors – If you have received an award, scholarship or special recognition from a college, or you are enlisted in the Armed Forces after graduation…..please stop by the attendance center sometime  today and give this information to Mrs. Floyd for the awards assembly.  

 

**After prom tickets will be sold through tomorrow.  Tickets can be purchased after school today in the Courtyard.  Tickets are $25 each.  Tickets can also still be purchased on Venmo.

 

**Seniors--Please fill out the form that was emailed to you by Mrs Robinson to enter the name of the college/university/trade school/branch of the military that you will attend next school year.  We will be doing senior spotlight pictures between now and graduation. 

 

**Wood River Park and Recreation is looking for summer workers.  If you are interested, see your email from Mr. Beatty.  

 

**Raging Rivers is looking for lifeguards for the summer.  If you can swim, they will help you with the lifeguard certification process.  For information, call Raging Rivers.

**After Prom will be held following Prom on May 22 from 11pm-2am at the Wood River Moose, 730 Wesley Dr., Wood River. Tickets are $25 each.  For your convenience, tickets will be sold after school this Friday in the courtyard and tickets are also available for purchase on Venmo (@Oiler-After_Prom)  On the message section please list your name and approved guest name along with T-shirt sizes for both. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the concession stands during home wrestling and track meets.  Tickets must be purchased by this Saturday, May 1st.  If you have any questions you can message the EAWR AFTER PROM 2021 Facebook page or Karry Thompson at 977-6652.  A list of After Prom guidelines was shared with students.  After Prom is a parent sponsored event and not a school sponsored event.
