**Big Sisters- There is a meeting today during Academic Lab in the Lecture Hall.  This is a very important meeting where we will be voting on a couple of important things.  Please attend.

**Big Sisters is holding the Pennies for Patients fundraiser again this year.   Your 3rd hour class will be competing to win a pizza party.  The fundraiser will run from today through the end of January so bring your loose change or cash to donate. Your 3rd hour teacher has a box to collect donations.  All money raised goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of St. Louis.  If the school raises at least $500 the winning 3rd hour will get a pizza party.  

**There will be a transition coach meeting today after school in Ms. Boyd's classroom.

**All students and staff are invited to the tailgate party in the South Building hallway (outside of Mr Maendele's room) at 5:30 pm before the girls basketball game tonight.  There will be free pizza, soda and water along with door prize drawings. Pack the stands to help bring home an Oiler win.

**The Varsity cheerleaders would like to invite everyone to come out and support them at the IHSA Sectional this Saturday at Waterloo High School. They perform at 12:26 PM.

**Our next community service opportunity is this Friday starting at noon.  We will be making valentines and decorating cookies and cupcakes to take to Integrity Healthcare (Formerly VIP Manor), Foxes Grove, and mail to the VA Hospital. All students participating will meet in the courtyard at noon and then we will be taking a bus to deliver valentines to Integrity and Foxes Grove.  If you would like to sign up please stop by the attendance center.  The activity should be over at 3 p.m.

**Juniors, sophomores and freshmen--STAR math testing will be administered today during 3rd hour and academic lab.  STAR reading test will be administered on Thursday during 3rd hour and academic lab.  Students need to have their fully charged Chromebook with them for testing. Students may use scratch paper during the test.  Seniors will attend a presentation from guidance on both days.  All seniors should report to the auditorium today and Thursday at 10:40 am.  There will be no meetings and students may not leave their 3rd hour on those days except for seniors.

**The first track meeting/practice for girls and boys will be today after school. We will begin conditioning to start the 2018 season. We will meet in the East Building. See Coach Colona to sign up.

**Seniors--Today is the last day to turn in senior and baby photos for the yearbook!

**If you are a sophomore, junior or senior in an honors Science or Math class, you're invited to join Saturday Scholars.  If you're interested, please meet in Mr. Daniels' room (e208) during academic lab today.  ATTENDANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT!  If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Daniels personally this week.

**Reminder to all Peer Leadership members- We will meet on Monday during academic lab in the lecture hall.

**Seniors--If you had pictures taken by an outside photographer, the deadline to submit is this Friday. You can give prints to Mr. James in M-009, or email digital photos to him at cjames@eawr.org. Senior baby pictures are also due Friday.

**Please know that schedules are only being changed if there is an error and will not be changed for student request.  If you need to speak to your guidance counselor about your schedule for other reasons, please see them during Academic Lab or before/after school.

Seniors:  Just a reminder that completing your community service hours is not only a requirement to walk in the graduation ceremony but also to receive a diploma.
