DUE TO THE short week last week and this week, the student council food drive has been extended until the end of November. We would love to have everyone at our pizza party in December, so be sure to bring in your 10 items,  10 dollars or combination of both for an invite!


ALL FRESHMEN and sophomores need to report to the auditorium for a safety meeting presented by WRPD and WRFD today during academic lab.


BIG SISTERS will meet next Tuesday, the 27th, after school in Mrs. Parmentier's room.

MRS. ROBINSON has partnered with Beverly Farms to help with the Giving Tree project again this year.  If anyone has anything they’d like to donate, items are to please be dropped in the attendance center by Friday, December 7th.


STUDENTS - Winter Athletic Passes are on sale for $5 in the Attendance Center. Passes will get EAWR students into all winter home events. Reminder that if you are on the roster for any winter sport or band, you can get into any winter games for free.


SENIORS - Reminder that December 1 is the Priority Deadline for many college applications.  If you do not have an application in by this date, you will miss out on scholarship opportunities as well.  If you have any questions, please see your guidance counselor.


MORP guest forms are now available outside Mr. Daniels room, E208. Forms must be turned in no later than November 28th. These forms require a few signatures and next week is a short week, so please get your form ASAP


Community Service Opportunities


THE EDWARDSVILLE CARE CENTER is looking for student volunteers to help assist in the painting of resident rooms at the facility. Students are asked to please schedule times, and are also able to earn some community service hours. If you are interested, the number to reach Barb, or Tina is (618) 692-1330.


DREAM HOME REALTY is sponsoring Fill Santa's Semi again this year and they are in need of a lot of volunteers. Please be sure to check your email for the link to sign up, this would be a great way to earn community service hours.


MRS. KINKEL is looking for volunteers to help decorate a Christmas tree at Rock Springs Park tomorrow at 9:30 AM. See Mrs. Kinkel in E-110 to sign up.


MR. COLONA is looking for volunteers to help with the Great River Road Run this Saturday, November 24th. Volunteers are needed from 7 am until 2 pm. Additional information can be found in your email.

THE BIG SISTERS meeting that was scheduled today has been moved to Tuesday, November 27th, after school in Mrs. Parmentier's room.


THE PLAY teaser is today during academic lab.  


PLAY TICKETS for this weekend are available for purchase in the Main Office. Tickets for adults are $6, for children (3-12 yrs. old) are $4. Gold Level Renaissance winners from September will receive a free ticket.  Maroon and Silver Level winners will receive 50% off their play ticket. A list of names will be at the door when you purchase your ticket.

Bring in $10 or 10 packaged food items, canned goods, or hygiene items like soap and toothpaste in order to get your invitation to a pizza party!  Additional ten items gets you additional raffle tickets for door prizes at the party. Travel size items, individual ramen noodle packages, and tomato paste will not count! Remember the rule of thumb: If you were in need, what items would you appreciate?  All items are to be turned in to Mr. Daniels or Mrs. Timmins!"

ROBINSON has partnered with Beverly Farms to help with the Giving Tree project again this year.  If anyone has anything they’d like to donate, items are to please be dropped in the attendance center by Friday, December 7th. Giving Tree Gifts can be anything from art supplies to paper, and coloring books, word games, to word search books. You can donate DVDs, lotions or shampoos, scarves, hats, gloves, even magazine subscriptions and gift cards can be donated.


EAWR STUCO will be collecting donations for the Food Drive until Friday, November 16th! Everyone is encouraged to bring in either $10 or 10 packaged food items, or canned goods. Please do not bring in tomato paste, that is not considered food. Hygiene items such as soap, and toothpaste will also be accepted. Anyone who donates ten items will be invited to the pizza party, and anyone who donates more than ten items will get an additional raffle ticket for door prizes at the party. Remember the rule of thumb: If you were in need, what items would you appreciate? All items are to be turned in to Mr. Daniels or Mrs. Timmins!

MRS. KINKEL’S CLASS will be presented their check from Vantage Credit Union tomorrow during academic lab. Any student or class that would like to watch the check presentation is invited to the auditorium for academic lab.

ANYONE INTERESTED in joining Peer Leadership should attend a meeting in the Lecture Hall today during Academic Lab.


GIRLS INTERESTED in trying out for bowling must attend a meeting tomorrow during academic lab in Coach Lawson's Room, E211.


EAWR IS HOLDING a mock election tomorrow during academic lab. A registration form has been sent to you by Mrs. Robinson, so please register for that. The registration must be filled out by 10:40 am tomorrow in order to be able to vote. Only those who've registered to vote will be given a ballot, so make sure to follow directions carefully and help us rock the vote on Election Day!


FALL SPORTS AWARD NIGHT is being held on Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Main Building. All fall athletes and their families are invited to attend


DURING THE SCHOOL DAY on Thursday, Student council will be hosting a blood drive. Only students who are 16 and over may donate, and all students who attempt to donate will receive a t-shirt. Please see or email Mr. Daniels to sign up.

JUNIOR & SENIOR students interested in meeting with any representatives may obtain a pass from their guidance counselor.


MRS. ROBINSON is looking for around 20 people to sign up and take a spirit bus to the playoff game at Carlinville on Friday. Anyone interested is asked to please sign up and bring $2 to the attendance center. The bus will be leaving the bus circle on Friday at 5:15 pm. Also, students are to make sure to bring an additional $5 to get into the game.
