**East Alton Recreation Center is looking for volunteers.  If you are interested please sign up in the attendance center.  Saturday, April 8 from 11:30-3:30 is the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Keasler Complex. Students can wear casual clothing but no sweatpants or athletic shorts. The students will help with setup, station attendants, and cleanup. 

**After prom tickets will be sold during the lunch hours on April 5th, 6th and 7th.  Tickets are $25 each.  
 
**Seniors:  Just a reminder that the Shelter Insurance Scholarship is due to Mrs. Woodman by this Friday, March 31. 

**This Friday will be a full attendance day, not a half day.

**Any Senior who is wanting to attend LCCC early bird registration on Friday, April 7th needs to stop by the Guidance Office by Wednesday, March 29th to sign up. If you don't sign up, you will be unable to attend early bird registration. 

**Prom guest forms are now available outside Mrs Timmins and Mr. Marshall's rooms. Forms are due April 13th.

**Big Sisters-  We need to start bringing in plastic Easter eggs and/ or individually wrapped Easter candy that will fit in all sizes of plastic Easter eggs.  We usually have over 400 eggs to put out for the Easter egg hunt.  So, we need your donations.  Please take them to Mrs. Miller's room by Friday March 31st.  We will meet on Tuesday April 4th after school in Mrs. Miller's room to begin stuffing Easter eggs for the hunt.  The Easter Egg Hunt will be Wed. April 12th at 6pm in the courtyard.  We will need you all to be there by 5 or 5:15pm to "hide" the eggs. 

**Please check your email for a community service opportunity to volunteer at an event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

**The monthly meeting for Book Buddies is today.  It is important for ALL members to attend.

**The EA Recreation Center is starting their Spring Soccer "4" Tots Clinic. This would be a great opportunity to rack up a bunch of hours over the next month. They need 2 volunteers each day that will just help instructors coordinate the sessions. Students will work with the instructors and help keep kids in line, encourage participation, help with attendance, etc. If anyone is interested they should  contact Patrick Minogue at the EA Rec Center immediately at 259-7411 or atp.minogue@eastaltonvillage.org.

**Student council would like to thank the EAWR students who donated at the blood drive yesterday. Overall  we ended up with 61 registered donors, 51 units collected and 28 first time donors. We exceeded our goal of 48 units, which helped us earn $301 in grant money! Great job EAWR!

**As we approach the 4th quarter there are multiple seniors that still need service hours.  One opportunity is to do campus clean up.  Any senior that would like to do this just needs to contact Mrs Robinson or Mr Gockel about arranging a time after school or on the weekends and we will supply the materials.

**The monthly meeting for Book Buddies is tomorrow.  It is important for ALL members to attend.

**Tickets for the spring play will be on sale this week during lunch for $5 each.  They will be $8 at the door!

**Renaissance Winners.....just a reminder that Gold Level winners will receive a free ticket to the spring play.  You can get your ticket from Mrs. Ledford, room E224.  All other Renaissance levels may purchase a ticket for $3.00.....these will need to be purchased from Mrs. Ledford also.

**Students:  EAWR is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sprint to provide Internet Access in the homes of students who do not have access currently.  The Internet Service is provided free of charge up to 3 GB per month, but there are some minimal program costs.  If you would like more information, please stop by the Library and see Mr. Mattix-Wand.

**The student council blood drive is today in the small gym. If you are donating, please be sure to report to the gym at the time on your pass and bring a photo ID with you. All appointments are filled, but if you didn't sign up and would like to donate, stop by during passing period and we will see if we can fit you in. Thank you to everyone who is participating!

**There are still about 10 openings for the blood drive tomorrow. See Mrs. Timmins or send her an email to sign up. You get a t-shirt and pizza for donating!   Also, those donating who are 16, be sure to get your parent permission form signed and turned in. We must have it today or tomorrow before you will be allowed to donate. If you need a permission form, see Mrs. Timmins.

**As we approach the 4th quarter there are multiple seniors that still need service hours.  One opportunity is to do campus clean up.  Any senior that would like to do this just needs to contact Mrs Robinson or Mr Gockel about arranging a time after school or on the weekends and we will supply the materials.

**Mr. Daniels is running the Wood River/Roxana Youth Basketball clinic and needs volunteers.  It will be from 9:00-noon at Roxana Fire Station Gym on March 18.  If you're interested, please email or see Mr. Daniels jdaniels@eawr.org!

**Prom tickets are now available for purchase online! Tickets will be sold through April 13th on our school's website.  There is a $1 convenience charge for each ticket. Simply provide the name/s of the ticket holder and that's it. (There is NO physical ticket.)  Tickets will still be sold on campus, after school, for $25 (with no fee) from April 10th-13th.
