Skyward Family Access Maintenance

Update: We are continuing the maintenance work and hope to be done by 6:00 pm.

On Thursday, March 29, The EAWR Skyward Family Access Service will be offline from approximately 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.  During that time checking grades, lunch accounts and other activities will not be available.  This message will be removed when the maintenance is completes and the system is back online.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Chromebook Waiver Reduced for 2017-18!

The Chromebook Take-home Waiver has been reduced in 2017-18.  The reduced cost is now $25 and allows the student to take the chromebook home for the school year as well as provides for free or reduced cost repairs.  The waiver can be paid this year through Family Access along with school fees and lunch account.  Log in to Family Access to get enrolled!

  • TJ Lawson Signs with Missouri Baptist University TJ Lawson signed a letter of intent to enroll at Missouri Baptist University. He will run track at Missouri Baptist. TJ is a multi-sport letter winner and has been a key member of the last two football playoff teams, as well as all conference in track and football. His best event is the 200M sprint and other sprint races.    Congrats to TJ and best wishes!

  • Cheer Squad Advances to IHSA State! Congrats to Coaches Allison Beachum and Allison Turner on the Varsity Oiler Cheerleaders advancing to the IHSA State Cheer Championships in Bloomington! They reach the finals by virtue of their 4th Place finish at the Waterloo Sectionals last weekend (Jan. 27, 2018). Here is a link to some other photos .... Way to go, Oilers!

The EAWR Thespian Troupe - under the direction of Ms. Kyndal Norton and Ms. Jan Timmins - will be performing “Shrek - The Musical” in the EAWR Auditorium. Showtimes are 7:00 on Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st, with a Sunday matinee performance at 2:00 on April 22nd.  Set in a mythical fairy tale land, “Shrek - The Musical” tells the story of a hulking green ogre who, after being mocked and feared his entire life by anything that crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation.   • Spring Fine Arts Festival Last night (April 12, 2018), the EAWR Band, Choir and Art department joined forces with the East Alton Middle School Band and Choir, and the Lewis & Clark Junior High Band for a very nice concert and display of visual arts. Thanks goes to Mr. Alexander and Mr. James for their hard work in promoting this annual festival, as well as congratulations to our fine musicians and artists. Thanks also to Mr. Lee Dick Band Director of East Alton M.S.; Mrs. Jan Timmins, Choir Director at EAMS; and Ms. Kim Hudson of L&CJH, Band Director.Below are some photos of the event.   • Renaissance Assembly On Thursday, February 8, 2018, EAWR honored all of the Renaissance Award winners. As you may know, our Renaissance program honors students for their academic achievement, perfect attendance, and good behavior habits at a semi-annual assembly to which the parents and family are invited. After students are recognized in each of the categories, their names are placed in and then drawn from a bowl for the special prizes.A student receiving one of the academic Renaissance awards (Gold, Maroon, Silver, and White) qualified by his/her semester grade point average (GPA); by having three or fewer absences; two or fewer tardies; and no suspensions, ISS, or STOP placements. Gold Level:       4.0 GPA or higher from that semesterMaroon ...

  • NHS Induction Congratulations to all of the new National Honor Society inductees, as well as, the current members.  A big thanks to the NHS faculty committee: Cari Mueller (chairperson), Krysta Catlin, Kristen Miller, Jen Boyd and Lisa Woodman for putting together a very nice ceremony.  Thanks also to Kelly Gardner and Jesse Daniels for attending.The speaker at the induction ceremony tonight was Jessica (Lee) Stricklin, Class of 2012.
